November escape to Hotel Piran

❦ And if travel is like love, it is, in the end, mostly because it’s a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, in dimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end. ❦

Slovenia’s coastline may be so teeny tiny that many people don’t even know it exists, but on this little stretch of the Adriatic between Croatia and Italy sits quaint and charming Piran. Piran is one of the most beautiful towns in the Mediterranean. It is a gem of Adriatic. First of all what I like here are charming, picturesque buildings. Colorful houses rise above the narrow streets and it’s fun to get lost here, especially late in the evening. Piran captivated me too by its cleanness and aesthetic. This time I decided to stay at the  Hotel Piran because I wanted to have a magical sunset from the balcony. The town’s flagship hotel has a commanding waterside position, great service and a century of history. I was very impressed with all the flowers decoration outside the hotel. Flowers were in full bloom and olive trees spread their branches toward the sun. I really enjoyed that.

Downstairs of a hotel, it`s a wellness center, cafe, and restaurant with a large terrace. The restaurant serves Mediterranean and Slovene cuisine, while the cafe offers various cakes and beverages. On the rooftop is a fab summertime champagne bar for hotel guests and other visitors who wanna enjoy the amazing view and feel like they are on the top of the word. This is Terrace 99. Heavenly view for me. This day was a bit windy day but it was just perfect to take some lovely photos with a wind in my hair.  Featuring a seafront location in historic Piran town center, Hotel Piran features also free WiFi access which is provided in all areas. The hotel is just 100 meters from Tartini Square. All rooms at this hotel are air-conditioned and feature views of the city or the sea. A TV, a minibar and a safe are provided. Private bathrooms come complete with a shower, a hairdryer, and free toiletries.  For me is also very important cleanliness and I must say my room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was just perfect with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, croissant, eggs, and lovely flower bouquet. The Aromatherapy Boutique can be accessed at a surcharge and features saunas and a relaxation area with sea salt water and fresh air, as well as massages and various treatments.  The staff was really friendly and helpful. For sure I will return again. Enjoy! ⛵
