❦ Magical places are always beautiful and deserve to be contemplated. Always stay on the bridge between the invisible and the visible. ❦

Welcome to a mystical destination which is one of my favorite ones. For me, Venice is the most romantic city in the world. The floating city built on an ancient lagoon along the Adriatic Sea in northeastern Italy. I arrived at the Grand Canal by vaporetto, a kind of water bus and dropped by Palazzo Ducale, built in the 9th century. I was surprised at the magnificence and opulence of the building with a marble corridor built in Gothic style. The Enormous stairs were decorated with statues of Nereid and the God of War. Inside, the building was sophisticatedly beautified by big paintings and wooden sculptures on the ceiling.
Because I adore charming and luxurious hotels The Gritti Palace was the perfect place for me. This luxurious hotel is built in a traditional Venetian style and it is located along the heart of the enchanting Grand Canal. It was built in 1525, The Gritti Palace was originally home to the Doge of Venice, Andrea Gritti. Although remodeled over time, space has been preserved to the utmost standards of maintaining the architecture, charm, and character it had back in the 15th century. This place is oozing with Venetian antiques, specialty rugs, and spectacular glass light fixtures handmade from the nearby island of Murano.
The Hotel Gritti Palace has, for centuries, been the favorite Venetian retreat of the rich and famous, its guests including members of the European Royal families, and numerous international writers and artists of great renown. Guests arriving at the Gritti Palace enter staggeringly beautiful public rooms where massive chandeliers of Murano glass hang from finely painted gold-trimmed ceilings, above floors lain with intricately woven rugs and marble tiles. Aside from the obvious glitz and glamour, this luxury accommodation offers, the central location cannot be beaten. The hotel is an 8-minute walk from Piazza San Marco and a 10-minute walk from the Bridge of Sighs, so in terms of location, it couldn’t get any better than this. I was floating between the clouds and feeling like a princess. In someway this place made me feel like at home, I was relaxed and happy. Every single decoration was in its place. Because I have a deep feeling for all the beautiful things all the little details were in its order. When I stepped into the room the air was filled with a beautiful scent and when I open the window the view to canal Grande was spectacular. To be inside this Patron Grand Canal suite is to be alive inside your very own private art museum. The artwork covering every inch of wall space is exquisite and engaging. Also, the view from the rooftop was magnificent. The staff was really kind and friendly and I enjoyed every single moment in this place. A real magic was happening to me and I could write more and more but photos bellow speaks for themselves. I hope you will enjoy this journey through Venice on my page too through my photos. And I will go dreaming on with my beautiful memories of The Gritti Palace and charming Venezia!
