❦ The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ❦

Burton Hillis.

Hello, wonderful people. My favorite winter time is here. I am very happy to put a Christmas tree and other lovely accessories in my living room. During this time, I love baking and I creating sweet treats too. That’s why the whole house smells of cinnamon, vanilla, … This time I am impressed by the gold and cream color, which gives a luxurious touch to everything. I also focused on accessories such as golden candlesticks in the form of an angel, a whitish wreath with beads, a white Christmas star, and the London Stangle, which I simply adore.

Londonske stangle – a beautiful old-fashioned recipe that Grandma always prepared for some festive occasions and holidays. Fine claws with walnuts that thrive when you bite them, the smell of lemon and baked walnuts and delightfully refresh their mildly acidic apricot.

Ingredients:

250 g butter, 100 g of sugar, 3 egg yolks, 1 lemon peel, 300 g flour, 1 spoon of vanilla sugar.

Fil: 3 whites, 150 g of sugar, 150 g of ground walnuts + a pair of spoons of apricot. I am using my homemade marmalade.

Preparation:

Beat the foamy butter with sugar, add the yolks and a grated cover of one lemon. Mix flour with vanilla sugar and carefully mix it in the mixture only with hands. Then coat dough with apricot marmalade. In a cup mix together sugar, ground walnuts, and 3 proteins. When a smooth mixture is formed spread it over the whole marmalade which is on the dough.

Cover the baking mold with butter and sprinkle with flour and pour the prepared mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 15 minutes.

I hope you will adore them! Enjoy this lovely and delicious festive season!
